How God Turns Your Life Into a Gift for the World
Today’s message takes us to the heart of the gospel—the love of God revealed through Jesus Christ. From John’s opening words (“In the beginning was the Word…”) to the powerful declaration that “God so loved the world,” Scripture shows us that love was God’s motivation, love is God’s method, and love remains God’s mission.
We see that Jesus didn’t come to condemn but to save, to dwell with us, and to reveal the glory and grace of the Father (John 1:14; John 3:16–17). Because of that love, three significant things become possible for us:
our strength, our system, and true life—life that is found in Christ our Savior and surrendered to Christ our Lord.
This message also explores the important distinction between receiving Jesus as Savior and following Him as Lord. One rescues you, but the other leads and shapes every part of your life, purpose, and future. When Christ is your Lord, your mission becomes clear, your identity becomes anchored, and your legacy becomes eternal.
Colossians 1:27 reminds us of the great mystery and miracle: “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Because Christ lives in us, we live on mission with a two-fold calling: Come and see the goodness of God… and Go and tell the world what He has done. From the invitation to find rest in Jesus (Matthew 11:28), to the shepherds proclaiming the good news (Luke 2:17), to the Great Commission itself (Matthew 28:18–20), we are invited to receive His love and then share His love.
