Different On Purpose
Being in the world—but not of the world—is how we win the world.
In this week’s message from The Good Life series, we’re asking a question every believer needs to wrestle with: What type of Christian are you? Are you living with divided loyalty, blending in with the world, or are you standing out with authentic, kingdom-centered faith?
Jesus says come as you are—but He loves you too much to leave you there. He calls us to be different, to be citizens of heaven, and to reflect wisdom from above in a world chasing its own desires.
📖 Key Scriptures:
James 1:6–8, 4:8 – Divided loyalty makes us unstable
Philippians 3:18–20 – We are citizens of heaven
1 Peter 2:11 – We’re not home here—don’t get cozy
James 3:15–18 – Earthly vs. heavenly wisdom
2 Kings 18 – Hezekiah’s radical trust in God
💡 Message Highlights:
Don’t blend in—just be different
True wisdom looks like purity, peace, and mercy
Being close to the world isn’t the same as being of it
Temporary residents don’t live like permanent ones
What are you trusting in that makes you so confident?
This message will challenge you to examine your heart, your habits, and your loyalty. Are you chasing comfort, or living with conviction?
