Every day, we are being shaped. By what we think. What we allow. What we guard. What we surrender. Scripture reminds us that formation is always happening, whether we are intentional about it or not. If we don’t intentionally decide who we are becoming, something else will decide for us. In Christ, a new identity is given. Second Corinthians 5:17 declares that anyone in Christ is a new creation — the old is gone and the new has come. Colossians 3 reminds us that our true life is now hidden with Christ in God. God declares who we are — but we decide whether we will live like it.
