In Week Four of Kingdom Economics, we ask one of the most important questions of the series: How do you leave a real mark on this world according to God’s plan? Every one of us has three resources that shape the legacy we leave behind—our time, our energy, and our money. But Jesus warns us that our legacy can be choked out by three traps: financial stress, greed, and envy (Mark 4:18–19). These distractions pull us toward what we want now instead of what we value most.

This message reframes legacy through the lens of God’s heart, God’s timeline, and God’s purpose. We look at Abram’s call in Genesis 12, where God blesses His people not just to bless them… but so they will be a blessing.

We’re reminded that the greatest enemy of legacy is short-term thinking, and that a God-honoring legacy always extends beyond our lifetime to future generations. Scripture calls us to plant seeds today that someone else may harvest tomorrow. That is the essence of true impact.

Legacy isn’t what we leave behind. Legacy is what we set in motion.
