Overview
Central Kids Director
The Central Kids Director is a spiritual and organizational leader responsible for developing and implementing effective ministry systems for children, birth through grade 5, at Cypress Church. This role includes providing leadership, ensuring that all programming aligns with the church's vision and strategy, and offering resources and support to campus Kids Leaders. As a key member of the central team, the Central Kids Director works closely with Campus Pastors and Kids Ministry leaders to ensure ministry cohesion and support the growth and effectiveness of Kids Ministry across all campuses. Additionally, the director develops, coaches, and resources teams, driving strategy, teamwork, and spiritual development within the Kids Ministry and among the families we serve.
Requirements
- A clear calling to vocational Kids ministry.
- Excellent organizational and administrative leadership skills.
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently.
- A team player committed to the organization's mission and vision.
- Demonstrated track record of discipleship, leadership, and team development.
- Experience in Kids Ministry or related field is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Champion Kids Ministry through vision casting and celebrating wins.
- Oversee the development and execution of Kids Ministry programming at all campuses.
- Lead and equip Kids Ministry Campus Leaders to effectively lead and disciple their teams.
- Partner with the Central Student Director to ensure a seamless transition from Kids to Students ministry.
- Organize and manage curriculum, prepare branded activity pages, and make digital content available for campuses for kids' weekend programming.
- Ensure processes are regularly reviewed and updated to help the team succeed
- Create and maintain a specialized onboarding plan for new Kids Ministry staff leaders and Difference makers, ensuring they are well-equipped for success in their roles.
- Develop 4-month ministry plans for Kids Ministry.
- Assist in the planning and coordination of special events for families, as well as age-specific events (e.g., for 4th and 5th graders).
- Participate in scheduled staff meetings to stay aligned with overall church and ministry goals.
- Lead Central Kids monthly meeting and as needed prior to special events
