4th & 5th Grade Kids Leader
25 hrs/week
Part-Time

The Kids Ministry Leader is a spiritual and organizational leader who oversees the 4th/5th Grade at our Alton Darby Campus. The Kids Leader is a team player who has a calling to lead kids to Christ and provide steps for them to follow Him, partner with parents and create an environment where Difference Makers feel significant and cared for. This person will build and maintain a healthy Difference Maker team to facilitate an excellent service experience for our Cypress kids and families.

  • Kids Ministry experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience in problem solving conflict management
  • Experience in classroom management and creative teaching styles
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Exceptional time management, organizational and prioritization

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and develop a team of Difference Makers coaches and leaders to help lead weekend services for 4th and 5th grade
  • Ensure weekly 4th / 5th grade curriculum is sent to volunteers within given timeframe
  • Maintain and organize supplies for weekend services in a timely manner
  • Be present on the weekend to support the team of Difference Makers, connect with families, and be available to help assimilate new families
  • Engage with kids and parents during weekend services and special events
  • Help execute all Kids Ministry events at the Alton Darby campus and plan and execute all special events for the 4/5 Graders  
  • Schedule appropriate number of Difference Makers for each service and small group maintaining at least two adults per classroom 
  • Work with Kids Ministry Director and Campus Pastor to execute, baptisms, special events, parent meetings, training videos, etc.
  • Provide a weekly report following weekend services
  • Work with your direct supervisor to reach all quarterly goals
